A leading Northern European retail company, Dansk Supermarked sells food, convenience goods and general merchandise to consumers in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Great Britain and Poland.
The company is jointly owned by A.P. Moller - Maersk and F. Salling, a Danish retailer.
Dansk Supermarked employs more than 40,000 people and comprises Føtex supermarkets, Bilka and A-Z hypermarkets, Tøjog Sko clothes shops, and Netto discount stores. Netto stores can be found across Northern and Central Europe, while the other outlets operate exclusively in Denmark.
Providing everything from breakfast cereals to living room furniture, these shops are the last link in the chain joining countless producers of consumer goods to the people who use them.

With our role at the consumer end of the supply chain, we take pride in our high standards of corporate citizenship. For example, we were the first Danish company to join the Business Social Compliance Initiative – an alliance of more than 60 European companies who share a commitment to global and social responsibility in production and procurement activities.
